Parking

Cheapest: Effective March 1, 2011, Economy Lot C will offer $4/hr parking, with a maximum of $12/day.

Most convenient: It costs $30/day at the Central Terminal Area structures. Locals will tell you parking is more plentiful at off-site lots along Century Boulevard.

Cell Phone Waiting Lot: On the northwest corner of 96th Street/Vicksburg Avenue, will allow waiting for up to two hours until travelers are ready to be picked up.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi service is available through T-Mobile. If you're not a subscriber, it's $6 for an hour or $9.99 for 24 hours.

Ground Transportation

Train: A free shuttle (G) connects the airport to the Metro Rail system's Aviation station. The base fare for Metro Rail is $1.50.


Cab: A taxi to downtown Los Angeles will run you about $30 - $35.


Shuttle: Door-to-door shuttles cost at least $16 to downtown L.A., about $36 to Burbank and about $29 to Pasadena.


Long-distance shuttle: Roadrunner Shuttle takes travelers to Simi Valley, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. (800) 247-7919.


All car, taxi and shuttle services pick up passengers on the lower level.

LAX Shuttle A circles the lower level and provides free transportation among terminals.
